About Melle Jongkind

The origins of today’s company Melle Jongkind are on Oosteinderweg in the flower village of Aalsmeer. There, Melle and Gea Jongkind started a flower business in their barn in 1981. Over the years, the small business grew into a modern and thriving flower processing company with some 65 employees. Quality, flexibility and service are important concepts at Melle Jongkind. Reliability, a no-nonsense culture and personal contact with both customers and employees, result in long relationships and a pleasant working environment.

Helmuth Jongkind

Helmuth Jongkind, the son of Melle and Gea, saved up his moped at an early age by working in his parents’ business as much as possible. Helmuth literally grew up in the business and in 2017 he took over. In 2018, Melle Jongkind moved to spacious premises on the South grounds of Royal FloraHolland. Of course, the company pays plenty of attention to sustainability.
